    Mark Group donates hundreds of home auditing consulting and skilled labor to Habitat for Humanity- Philadelphia’s new Retrofits & Repairs program. The program is designed to prevent foreclosure and homelessness by helping in-need homeowners maintain a safe, healthy and affordable home.

  • PGW: Enhanced Low Income Retrofits Program

    Mark Group was awarded a multi-million dollar contractor under the Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) Enhanced Low Income Retrofits Program. The program is designed to provide cost-effective energy efficiency measures to reduce the average household’s energy usage by 20 percent, significantly lowering gas bills.

  • New Jersey Comfort Partners

    Mark Group began working with Comfort Partners in Fall 2011. We have since established ourselves within the program and now serve as one of their top contractors. Our goal is to deliver quality installation of weatherization measures in order to improve home efficiency and comfort, regardless of income.

    The Sustainable Business Network (SBN) of Greater Philadelphia awarded Mark Group for our focus and dedication to the mentoring and training of Philadelphia City residents. The Company Conscience Award recognized Mark Group as an outstanding, community-focused organization.

Habitat Philadelphia has historically helped families that met program requirements build new homes with a zero interest mortgage. The family is required to participate for 350 hours of the construction effort.

Habitat Philadelphia has recently launched a Retrofits & Repairs program with a partial focus on energy efficiency improvements. Other improvements focus on health and safety. The ultimate goal of the program is to allow people to retain and maintain the home they already own.

Over the next year, Habitat will take on 15-17 Retrofits & Repairs projects in Philadelphia. Mark Group has proudly agreed to donate Home Energy Assessment consultation and skilled labor for energy efficiency home improvements.
Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) and the Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO), operate Weatherization Assistance Programs to help low-income customers reduce their energy consumption and lower their monthly bills.

Mark Group was awarded contracts under both PGW’s Enhanced Low Income Retrofits Program (ELIRP) and PECO’s Default Service Provider (DSP) Program. We are very proud of the quality improvements that have been delivered to hundreds of Philadelphia families with professionalism and respect.
The Sustainable Business Network (SBN) of Greater Philadelphia ran their Social Impact Campaign from July 2011 to January 2012 to help businesses increase their social impact by supporting the lives of Philadelphians living in poverty. By volunteering just a few hours of expertise, company employees helped the Federation of Neighborhood Centers improve the job training services they provide to their clients.

Mark Group received the Company Conscience Award at a ceremony held in February, 2011, in recognition of its work in improving the employment prospects of Philadelphians who are looking for work. Mark Group’s team impressed the Campaign’s organizers by demonstrating a company-wide focus and dedication to the mentoring and training of Philadelphia City residents and making an immeasurable impression on those with whom they worked.
